1986 Sea Sprite 260 Sport Cruiser in condition. This boat has been stored for 4 years at the local marina. The vessel was repowered 6 years ago with only two season of use before it was laid up and it has low hours. The vessel is a great sport cruiser that really gets up and goes with the upgraded power. You can cruise around or pull the kids on skiis or tubes with the performance of te twin V6 motors. All and all a great designed boat that will need some clean up and love to bring back to it’s full potential.
HULL: The hull is in good condition with the normal scrapes and dings that would be expected on a hull of this vintage. The light blue areas are painted with hull side paint but still looks good though it all could use a good wax. None of the scrapes affect the integrity or performance of the hull. The bottom has anti fouling paint.
TOPSIDE: The topsides are in good condition. Most of the topside areas are a bit dirty from storage but have no significant fiberglass damage. There is some rubbing on the rub rail but is strictly a cosmetic issue. The bow rail is in good shape without breaks or bends.
COCKPIT: The cockpit area is a wash down design but there are no areas where the decks are soft. There are a number of hatches and doors on the decks that are all in place. The seats will need cleaned and there is some soft wood supports on the back to back helm seat. There are a few stress related cracks in the dash area gel coat but nothing that will compromise the integrity of the deck.
CABIN: The cabin space has a forward V bunk and aft compartment for sleeping. There is also a galley area with sink, stove and icebox. A drop down dinette also allows for sleeping or dining. A fully enclosed head (bathroom) with washdown shower is located on the port.
ENGINE & COMPONENTS: The motor are twin 4.3 litre V6 175 hp MerCruiser / GM motors. The vessel was repowered with these remanufactured motors six years ago. At the time of repower the lower units were both torn down and “remanufactured” so the entire package was “new” at that time. The engines have been started every year of storage and rewinterized, this occurred again about a month ago. I will start the motors for the winning bidder to demonstrate that they are in good running condition.
