The Sea Ray 345 Sedan Bridge was only made for a short time. Except for Sea Ray’s very large boats, all subsequent boats have been express cruisers. Very large boats from most manufacturers are piloted from a bridge position for a reason.
There are two great things about the bridge style:
Operating the boat from the bridge is a total pleasure. Visibility is excellent and both the tip of the bow and stern are visible. Docking with twin inboards from the bridge position is a joy. And this boat will do a 360-degree turn in her own length.
The salon is full of light! Unlike an express cruiser, this salon has very large windows and seating allows guests to see the horizon in all four directions. Rainy day? Not a problem with this salon.
This boat has been meticulously maintained. The engines have never needed rebuilding – a sign that they have been well cared for. Rebuilt engines with only 900 hours is an indication that the engines were not previously well maintained. Compression on both engines is high and neither engine burns oil. Cruising speed is 25mph.
Dual 30 amp 120 service, two 50′ shore power cords, three batteries, battery charger, two reverse cycle air/heat units, pressure water, water heater, engine synchronizing gauge (2), Ritchie compass, Bimini top with enclosure, cockpit canvas, and windshield cover, 7″ remote control spotlight, dual air horn, fiberglass bow pulpit, four fenders, six mooring lines, and Bennett trim tabs.
Galley includes refrigerator/freezer, three-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, double sink and lots of storage. The salon features U-shaped dining table/settee that converts to double bed, two captain chairs, ice maker, AM/FM stereo/CD and TV. The vacu-flush head includes a separate shower with seat, vanity with mirror, and storage. Stateroom has island queen berth, maple woodwork, cedar closet, vanity with mirror and seat. The helm features a wet bar, two forward seats, in addition to captain’s chair, with a bench seat behind. Good size swim platform with boarding ladder. All exterior woodwork has been beautifully re-done.
The Sea Ray 345 was only in production for 2 years meaning this rare model is highly sought after by many boaters! The layout/deck plan is one of the best out there for a cruising sedan!!
