The AF46 is a 48 passenger craft, powered by triple diesel engines. Which features elegant design combined with impressive performance. Main entrance is via a spacious rear door located between the propellers with a 1.25 meter (49″) wide central aisle. This model also features twin “gull-wing” type doors, one on each side of the main cabin. The cockpit has a clean modern layout which is well appointed, featuring 3x color LCD screens in an overhead console for engine monitoring. With a large color LCD Radar/GPS screen centrally mounted in the main dash panel for navigation. In the cabin, 46 individual forward facing seats can be fitted or up to 5 tons of cargo can be hauled, or a combination of both. The cabin features a split-level design, which provides ten forward passengers and the crew a 360 degree view. The body is a one piece fiberglass foam sandwich construction with a molded durable gelcoat finish (major advantages of foam sandwich construction is superior thermal and acoustic properties with no joints or rivets to leak!). Craft maneuverability is superior due to the innovative unique rudders which provide roll & pitch. Additionally, an active body roll control system banks the craft into the turn or can be used to check cross winds.ย This modern craft also features independent forward/reverse thrust for slow speed maneuvering (used in conjunction with the rudders & body roll control provide superior maneuverability). The skirt system is dynamically stable under adverse conditions (weather or terrain related) with an impressive isolated obstacle clearance, of up to 1 meter. Engine rooms are accessible from inside of the craft. Powered by triple Mercedes-Benz 926 industrial diesel engines with a powerful 966 combined horsepower! The twin centrifugal lift fans are hydraulically driven via the forward engine. The propulsion propellers are mechanically driven, via marine forward/reverse transmissions and toothed belt drives
