I’m selling my 1990 Rinker V-170 open bow with an Evinrude 110 TCLE outboard
I’ve replaced the gear oil in the lower unit, rebuilt the water pump, checked and replaced the hose clamps and hoses, replaced the fuel filter, cleaned out the old fuel from the tank, replaced both thermostats and rebuilt the fuel/oil mixer pump (VRO).
The motor starts and runs well. The electric choke is working. All of the lights on the boat and trailer work. The stereo (2 speakers) works.
I took the boat out into Lake Michigan a few weeks ago. The motor was strong. Just to be sure, I checked the compression on each cylinder and they were balanced and okay, each was between 90 and 95 psi.
The hull has a repair that is solid and waterproof, but needs to be cleaned up. The side rails have screw holes from fishing gear. I’ve replaced the two forward and two rear cushions. The side by side seats are okay, there is a 3 inch rip in the driver seat and the rear facing passenger seat needs a new support board underneath. The hull has minor scratches all over and the pen striping is peeling in some areas. The depth sounder and all of the gauges (motor angle, speed, fuel) work.
The trailer is in good to great shape. It has surface rust and could use some paint. I believe the trailer is worth at least $1200. The wheel bearings have been repacked and all of the tires including the spare on the trailer are in good condition.
In general, the condition of the boat, hull and trailer is good, but overall it needs some love.
