14 Aluminum v-hull Jon Boat with an 18 HP Mercury XD 2-stroke outboard. Includes the trailer it is sitting on in the pictures, a Minn Kota Endura 30-lbs thrust/12 volt trolling motor (rear mount), a Garmin Striker 4 with 3.5″ GPS Fishfinder with a Chirp Traditional Transducer, and a 12-volt battery.
I believe the hull was manufactured in the early 1970s. The motor is a model from the mid-1980s (I think it’s a 1985 or 1986). It is a manual start (pull start). I can send you video of it running.
The motor runs well as far as I can tell (I am not mechanically inclined). It works great when I take the boat out, but I haven’t been out for over six months. I had the carburetor rebuilt in late 2018. I also had a new prop installed. I haven’t put more than a few hours on both. The cowling is intact and looks decent for its age, but the cowling hinge is missing (so the cowling is not affixed to the outboard). I can send you video of the motor starting and running.
I bought this combo in the summer of 2018 and just haven’t been able to get it out much. I’m selling because I can’t find time to get out on the water, and because I don’t have a great place to store the boat. On that note, please be aware that I have stored the boat outside since I’ve had it. I have a cover for the hull and a separate cover for the outboard, but they don’t completely protect from the elements we have in Georgia (humidity, torrential rain, etc.). The cover also doesn’t fit over the trailer.
